These pictures are 360°x180° panoramas projected to look like small planets using a projection called stereographic projection.


Turn around and look all around you. You can see 360° horizontally.
We should also consider the vertical dimension: if looking straight ahead (horizontally) is 0°, you can look upward up to 90° (the sky) and downward to -90° (the ground). That covers 180° vertically from thezenith (the point in the sky right above you) to the nadir (the point on the ground right below you).

Now imagine that you are at the center of sphere, and the image of the world you see around you is in fact just a picture on that sphere. Everywhere you look (the whole 360° horizontally and the whole 180° vertically), the sphere shows you a picture if what you should normally see in that direction.

A 360°x180° panorama is exactly this sphere. Making a 360°x180° panorama means that you have to shoot pictures for all direction, including sky and ground, in order to be able to reconstruct that sphere.

Estas fotografías panorámicas 360°x180° tienen un aspecto de pequeños planetas utilizandouna tecnica denominada proyección estereofónica.

Da la vuelta y mira a tu alrededor. Podes ver 360° horizontalmente, También debemos considerar la dimensión vertical, si miras  derecho al frente seria 0°, mirando hacia arriba seria 90°, y hacia abajo -90°, esto cubriría un total de 180 grados, desde el zenit en el cielo hasta el punto en el suelo justo debajo de ti.

Ahora imagina que estas en el centro de una esfera, y el mundo a tu alrededor es justamente una fotografía. Todo lo que ves, (los 360° horizontales y 180° verticales), en esa esfera son las imágenes que normalmente verías  en cada dirección.

Realizar fotografías panorámicas de 360°x180° significa que tienes que tomar fotografías en todas las direcciones, incluyendo en cielo y el suelo, para poder reconstruir estas imágenes en una unica con formato de esfera.

The design was inspired by sliding puzzles. With this mechanism users can see what they keep in each draw by moving the dividers on the desk. The grids can be designated to store different items according to the users’ needs of storage and usage: 1.Documents and folders 2.Keyboard and mouse 3.Stationery 4.Loose papers.

 The basket fitted in the grids can be removed to provide greater convenience when moving. This feature will also allow the user to sort and organize the items within the basket easily.

El diseño fue inspirado por los rompecabezas deslizantes. Con este mecanismo los usuarios pueden ver que guardan en cada cajón, moviendo los divisores de la mesa. Cada espacio puede ser designado para organizar  documentos y carpetas teclado y mouse/ratón o papeles sueltos, dependiendo de las necesidades de cada uno.

Las cajas incluidas en cada unidad pueden ser removidas, muy conveniente para su traslado y también para organizar los ítems de cada caja con mayor facilidad

Folding Plug by Min-Kyu Choi

Royal College of Art graduate Min-Kyu Choi has designed a folding version of the standard UK electrical plug.
The folded plug is more suitable for travelling than the bulky standard version.
Most people carry laptops with adapters and plugs because laptop batteries have limitations on the time they can be used. When people carry laptops with U.K plugs in a bag, it always causes problems such as tearing paper, scratching laptop surfaces and, sometimes, it breaks other stuff. The main problem is the UK standard 3-pin plug is not considered in the process of designing for mobility.
My all intention of the project was directed to make the plug as slim as possible and follow the British Standard regulation at the same time.
‘Folding Plug’ changes the shape form the normal U.K plug into a 10mm thickness object, solving these damaging problems.
The ‘Folding Plug’ is also advantageous when people have to travel aboard. People normally carry up to three electronic devices for their long-term journey, such as a mobile phone, a digital camera or an iPod, However, we usually carry only one universal plug. Whilst multi-plug adapters and USB chargers allow us to use one plug socket for many devices, they are still bulky objects.
The flat properties of my folding plug have inspired the development of a multi-plug adapter that also performs in space-saving ways. By using the folding plug whilst it is folded, ‘Multi Flat Plug’ and ‘USB Charger’ allows for 3 devices to be plugged into the mains, but only inhabiting a little more space than a standard 3-pin UK plug.

“La mayoría de la gente utiliza laptops con adaptadores, ya que las baterías son limitadas, en el caso de los que llevan el enchufe británico en su  bolso, casi siempre causa problemas como arrugar o rasgar papeles, rayar la superficie del equipo y a veces puede romper otras cosas, el mayor problema del enchufe británico de tres patas, es que en su proceso de diseño no fue considerada la movilidad.

Toda mi intención en este proyecto  fue directamente la de crear el enchufe mas delgado posible siguiendo la regulación británica al mismo tiempo.

Folding Plug, cambia la forma del convencional enchufe británico a un objeto de 10 mm de grosor, resolviendo así los problemas anteriormente descriptos.

Este enchufe es también ventajoso a la hora de viajar al exterior. Normalmente  llevas  tres dispositivos electrónicos, (teléfono móvil, cámara de fotos, iPod), y un adaptador universal. Con el adaptador para múltiples enchufes + cargador USB, nos permite utilizar una sola toma de enchufe para cargar múltiples dispositivos. “

They send you the Impression Kit by mail. Once you receive it, imprint the entire length of your finger and/or your fiancés finger separately. Then you mail that back. Once received it, next step will be to take a wax form from the impression material and turn that impression into a metal ring utilizing gold or silver.

After last week’s press conference, in which Dell only briefly flashed its Dell Adamo XPS for the media, the company is at it again, releasing two profile images of its incredibly thin ultraportable. In the two new photos, we see a a side view of the under-a-centimeter-thick system and another view where its hinge appears to be flipped open. Make look fat the MacBook Air 

We still have no idea how much the super-svelte system will cost, what the specs, will be, or how the keyboardand screen look.

Despues de semanas desde la conferencia de prensa en donde se mostro solo por unos instantes la nueva Dell Adamo XPS, Dell volvio a la cargar, con dos fotografias de este laptop ultrafino. Podemos ver una visata de costado  de la nueva Adamo con un grosor que esta por debajo del centimetroy una segunda fotografia donde aparece abierta. Hace parecer gorda a la MacBook Air

De todas formas seguimos sin tener idea de las especificaciones y caracteristicas tecnicas del este producto y mucho menos su precio o fecha de lanzamiento
